York Regional Police is a mission-focused, vision-inspired and values-driven organization. We will ensure our citizens feel safe and secure through excellence in policing. We succeed by working together and in partnership with our community.

The Regional Municipality of York stretches north from Toronto to Lake Simcoe and includes many hectares of protected Greenbelt. York Region’s diversity is evident in our nine local municipalities, geography, economic development and population. York Region works to provide residents and businesses access to a broad selection of services and resources.

CCSYR is a family services agency, accredited by both Family Service Ontario and Catholic Charities. We offer many types of counselling and group services to help people cope with personal and relationship challenges.

We work to keep children safe and families together by:

·         Providing child protection services 24 hours a day, seven days a week

·         Engaging and supporting families at-risk in problem solving

·         Linking families with essential community services to ensure the best possible outcomes for families

·         Providing prevention and awareness programs to keep children safe and families strong

The York Centre

The York Centre provides a range of mental health services for children, youth and families who live in the Region of York. Services are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team based upon an holistic approach to social, emotional, academic and familial needs.

Blue Hills

In the spirit of collaboration and respectful partnership with both families and the community, we strive to create opportunities for children and families to nurture their relationships and expand their abilities in realizing improved mental health.

York Catholic District School Board

The York Catholic District School Board serves one of the fastest growing areas in North America: the Regional Municipality of York, located in the Greater Toronto Area.

We have schools in each of the Region’s nine area municipalities: Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Whitchurch-Stouffville, and the Township of King.

Sandgate

Sandgate is dedicated to providing all persons who identify as women and their children shelter, support and information so they can take steps towards ending abuse in their lives.

York Region District School Board

York Region students consistently perform above average in provincial testing and the Board is one of the top achievers in Ontario. We believe this is due to a unique combination of students who are prepared and motivated to succeed; teachers who are skilled at helping students learn; strong educational leaders who subscribe to a common vision of excellence; and a supportive community that understands the importance of quality public education.

Social Services Network

Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate direct services to the South Asian community through partnerships developed with other service providers. Specifically, we strive to inform, support and empower the community to live an independent and enriched life. 

York Region Centre for Community Safety

We will provide a collaborative single access point for services within York Region to meet the needs of those affected by domestic violence through an integrated, seamless, holistic access to services.

Blue Doors Shelters

Blue Door Shelters is a trusted community-based organization with more than 35 years of experience in serving homeless populations in York Region. Leeder Place Family Shelter, the only family shelter in our region, supports families facing an intersection of complex issues that can be compounded with experiences of migration.

Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) serves 7,000 children and youth with multiple special needs in York Region and Simcoe County by providing rehabilitation and clinical services through a network of healthcare agencies, school boards and community agencies.
 
We know that you and your child’s immediate and extended family, along with other caregivers and friends, are his or her main support. Our job is to assist you in developing a care plan and to help you set realistic goals that are important for your family.

CTN’s commitment to providing family-centred care is anchored by an electronic client record that is shared across our partner organizations and provides the foundation for integrated plans of care and services where they need it most: in schools, their homes and the community.
 
Collectively, we respond to the evolving needs of children and youth with multiple special needs by providing and enhancing services, championing system change and building capacity across the network. CTN is funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

The Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region Branch was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illnesses.

We help people learn how to maintain their mental health, look for and identify the signs of mental illness, and get help and support when they need it. Through several locations across York Region and South Simcoe, we provide a wide range of services to assist individuals with their recovery. Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals are dedicated to assisting people achieve their optimum level of mental health.

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), founded in 1918, is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada. Each year, it provides direct service to more than 100,000 Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff across Canada in over 135 communities.

As a nation-wide, voluntary organization, the Canadian Mental Health Association promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness. The CMHA accomplishes this mission through advocacy, education, research and service.

FSYR is a Not for Profit, Charitable organization. We are committed to excellence in the provision of counselling for children, youth, women, men and their families. All counselling services seek to promote the fullest development of the individual. We believe in family in all its diversity.

FSYR partners with agencies across York Region to ensure that you receive the help you need; if we can’t help you we will help you find the appropriate resource.

Rose of Sharon

Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers is the only agency in York Region dedicated to providing counselling, education and parenting resources to prenatal and parenting young mothers up to the age of 25, supporting their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
